Just north of the Bronx along the Hudson River, Yonkers mixes historic hillside neighborhoods of single-family homes with a newer cluster of high-rise apartments and condos along the downtown waterfront. The city's hilly, sometimes narrow streets can make truck placement trickier than in flatter suburbs, and riverfront buildings increasingly require the same COI and elevator-reservation process as apartment buildings closer to the city.
